Embracing Change through Confidence in Yourself
Life is ever changing. To resist change is to resist life and what we resist persists only to repeat the same cycle. Through confidence in yourself you develop stronger faith in your abilities and in the process of life, allowing you to adapt freely to the changes of life without concern.
We live in a time of paradox, contradiction, opportunity and above all, change. To the fearful, change is threatening because they worry that things may get worse. To the hopeful, change is encouraging because they feel things may get better. To those who have confidence in themselves, change is a stimulus because they believe one person can make a difference and influence what goes on around them. These people are the doers and motivators.
Confidence vs ego…
Your confidence is measured by how you think, feel, and speak about yourself internally. This inner feeling and dialogue is what dictates your life. This deep confidence comes from a place of love and not from the ego. You will find confidence is not something you measure from your external senses as much as it is your own inner dialogue. For the external actions just reflect what we think and feel within. When we are weak in confidence we are overwhelmed with insecurities and doubt, which we attempt to cover up with the ego.
Strengthening your confidence…
You strengthen your confidence by evaluating and working on your own self-worth and self-love. Some examples of how to cultivate these are: By writing down a list of goals and making small steps towards them daily. By spending time with yourself daily to learn who you are, and by changing how you think and feel about yourself. By strengthening your inner talking and thereby your confidence, you move out of fear and into love enhancing your power within.
Doing these very things help you eliminate the doubts and fears from your consciousness, which increase your energy levels and mental capacity. As noted in 12 Lessons of Psycho-Cybernetics, a positive self-image is crucial for success and overall happiness. The greater your confidence the greater your ability to embrace change, allowing you to live life more freely through authentic self-expression.
Until next time,
